Most Popular Disk Defragmentation Tool: Defraggler [Hive Five Followup]

Most Popular Disk Defragmentation Tool: Defraggler If you don't have an SSD, defragmenting your hard drive can keep your hard drive optimized for faster read and write times. If you find your games suddenly loading slower than they used to, your videos taking longer to play, or your movie editing or graphic design projects taking forever to load, it might be time to defrag. Last week we asked you which apps you used for the job. Then we took a look at the top five, based on your nominations. Now we're back to highlight the winner.

Defraggler, popular in both the call for contenders thread and in the poll, came away with the top spot, earning 39% of the votes cast. 26% of you said you didn't use a special disk defragmentation tool at all, and you just let the Windows' own built-in defragmentation tool take care of it. In third place with over 17% of the vote was Auslogics Disk Defrag, and right behind it with 10% of the votes cast was Smart Defrag. Bringing up the rear in last place is MyDefrag, with just over 7% of the votes cast.
