NBA Chat With Susan Bible 1/12/13

Agreed. Presti had to pull that deal; he was just unable to get anything done with Harden after trying for months. Acquiring Martin was a solid move. You make a valid point about the playoffs, but even as constructed, I think they?ll be fine with Durant expanding his game ? playing all five positions, including PG at times, with a career-high 4.3 assists right now ? Ibaka?s offensive improvement (which has just been awesome), Sefolosha?s career-high three-point shooting (1.3) and FG% (.478), Westbrook is passing more (averaging 8.5 assists vs. 5.5 last year and career-high 1.5 in threes and 2.1 steals), Jackson?s confidence and growth and the possibility Maynor may be better by April. I like that Liggins is getting playing time lately with his defensive prowess. Say what you will about Perkins, but he?s critical defensively. We?re witnessing the beauty of chemistry, the importance of how long the guys have been playing/growing together and how well Martin has fit into the system.

All that said, I?m worried about the bench, and I wouldn?t at all be surprised if they pulled off a trade to address the backup PG situation.
