TEMECULA, California ? Motorcyclist William Dandalides, 66, of San Diego was killed Saturday afternoon after his bike drove into a vehicle that stopped suddenly on State Route 79 about a mile west of Vail Lake Road, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner Department.
The report indicated that Dandalides was wearing his helmet at the time of the motorcycle crash, but he was ejected into oncoming traffic and struck by a truck on the highway about 12:39 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene about 1 p.m. California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the cause of the motorcycle crash.
