Turbine-powered Batmobile for sale: $620,000

By Sean Fallon

Nerd Approved

Back in July, Casey Putsch of Putsch Racing Designs unveiled what is purported to be the world's first jet turbine powered Batmobile. Interestingly enough, he has put the car up for sale on eBay to pay some bills. It seems that only a billionaire like Bruce Wayne can afford to fight crime with fancy gadgets.?

However, if you are a billionaire, get ready to pony up $620,000 for this one-of-a-kind vehicle. Still no word on whether or not a set of earplugs are included in that deal...or a cape. (I would be sold if there was a cape.)

The Batmobile features a?385-horsepower Boeing turboshaft engine lifted from a naval drone helicopter (runs on jet fuel, kerosene or diesel), an iPod-compatible sound system and an iPad built into the dash for avionics and navigation. It's also street legal. (eBay via Nerd Approved)?
